Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 VII Review

The Sony RX100 series is considered the best camera in the photography and shooting market and the most capable pocket cameras, whether in terms of still pictures or video. The seventh-generation model, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 VII is the latest imaging device to have an almost 1-inch pocket-sized sensor for Sony. It uses the same F2.8-4.5 lens equal to the size of 24-200 mm as it was in the past, but it features a high-quality focus system and is characterized by ability and ease of use, it contains an 8x sharp lens that was included in the previous version, and that comes with a system Autofocus puts the Sony RX100 on the platform of the best models of modern interchangeable lenses.

It's a great camera and great for people who love travel and tourism at a reasonable price for them and very expensive for some, in addition to this, it has very great capabilities that we saw in Mark VI, including continuous and very fast photography, high-definition video capture and strong quality when capturing 4K. What is new is that it has a microphone jack to record high-quality audio. Sony RX100 can shoot at a speed of up to 20 fps without any blurring or blurring, but in contrast, it does not seem that the RX100 VI offers much on the number of pixels is the same, and the lens is the same, and the body without changing the design and image/video quality also did not change much. Only improved autofocus, making the seventh edition easier, more fun to use, and more reliable.

1- Reviews and ratings of  Sony RX100 VII cameras

#Firstly: Performance

When it comes to video capabilities, the RX100 VII shoots 4K up to 30p video and Full HD video with up to 120p resolution. These are the same features as mark VI, however, The Mark VII adds a 3.5 mm microphone jack, more efficient stability, and a better autofocus system.

The RX100 VII is generally a good camera for video blogging. First of all, it has amazing video features. Moreover, it has an articulated screen, as it is extremely portable and easy to use.

4K videos are limited to just 5 minutes to protect the camera from overheating. There is an option to disable this limit manually, but Sony recommends using a tripod while recording movies in this setting.

#Secondly: Sody & Design

The Sony RX100 VII is a very small camera. It has a dimension of 4.02 × 2.28 × 1.69 inches and weighs only 0.67 lbs. The camera can be easily placed in the pocket so you can follow you everywhere you go.

In general, the new camera shares the same design as its predecessors. In order to save some space, the RX100 VII features a pop-up viewfinder. In addition, it also has a built-in flash and a tiltable screen.

The LCD screen is touch-sensitive and is very practical to reposition the focus area. Furthermore, it is folded up by 180 degrees and down by 90 degrees. This is very convenient for recording video or taking pictures from uncomfortable angles.

#Third:  Build & Handling

Their buttons and controls are small, just like the camera's body, so unless you have very sensitive fingers, it can be difficult to handle this camera. As with most compact cameras, the RX100 VII is not protected from weather factors. With this, try not to expose the camera to water, sand or freezing temperatures.

However, Sony also introduced a new leather-looking chassis case for the RX100 series, which includes a lens cover and shoulder strap to protect the camera from shocks and shocks. If you intend to use the RX100 VII as a mobile camera, it's worth considering buying it.

# Fourth: Specs

Although the camera fits into the jacket pocket, its powerful sensor allows it to deliver sharp, detailed images of 20 MP. Another great thing about the RX100 VII is that it comes with a 24-200 mm equivalent lens with a focal distance of F2.8-4.5 which is great for wide-angle and remote shooting. Whether you want to take a picture of a nearby target or something remote, this camera will make the most of it.  This is especially useful for shooting at moving targets such as animals or sports players. Although the RX100 Mark VI had a slightly larger blast rate (24 fps), it also has a dimming in the viewfinder.

With the RX100 VII, you can apply continuous imaging without dimming the viewfinder, which is more useful and practical. In addition, the camera captures seven sequential images at speeds of up to 90 frames per second.

The best thing about Mark VII is that it carries significant improvements in autofocus technology. The camera has 357 phase-detection points and 425 AF points to detect contrast and can get focus in 0.02 seconds. In addition, the camera uses the most advanced real-time tracking and autofocus techniques in real-time.

#Fifth :  Lens

Due to its large focal range, the versatile camera provides great features for many different uses. The Sony RX100 VII comes with a 24-200mm f/2.8-4.5 Zeiss Vario-Sonnar lens. However, it is not the best choice for night photography because this lens does not work as well in low light conditions as in other environments.

The RX100 VII is particularly good for tour photography. The only drawback is that it can take only about 250 rounds on a full charge. If you spend a lot of time taking pictures, it's good to know that you can charge your camera via a USB-C port. Also, using a viewfinder instead of an LCD screen may save some battery life.
